W. S. Lomas, all combined to makt the Carnival one of artistic beauty. Artistic Setting for Event The arena ice surface was painte in the design of a mosiac floor ant appeared like a marbleâ€"tiled ballroom At the far end the orchestra was placâ€" ed on a dais, under which was the main scenic setting. This consisted of :: huge painted book cover entitled "Story Bookâ€"Porcupine Edition" Thi was used as the entry for each item Oor the programme. The Perkovich Twins aftel opening the book, performed a very pleasing pair soloâ€"all the more talentâ€" ed on account of the fact that they have only been members of the club for a very short time. Clever solo numbers were presented in this feaâ€" ture by "The Kandy Kids"â€"Arlent Cameron and Dorothy Devineâ€"both of whom drew loud applause for their splendid performances. Miss Phyllis Denne, as the "Old Woman" also playâ€" ed her part in grand style.
