Presiding at the organ was Mrs. Piche. and during the signing of the register Miss Colette Lavigne beautifully sang. “Ave Mariaâ€. The bride. given in marriage by her father. chose as her wedding costume. a two-piece beige arzernoon dress, but- toned down the back of the jacket, with a tiny rpw of brown buttons across the yoke. Her accessories were in brown, and she wore a corsage of red and white roses. The only jewelery the bride wore was a dainty pendant, that had been worn for four previous weddings. The altar at the Notre Dame de Lourdes church was banked with roses. (em. and lovely mixed spring flowers been worn for four previous weddings. Her bridesmaid was Miss Gilberte Lariviere. who wore a navy afternoon two-piece frock, with buttons down the back of the jacket, powder blue across the yoke. with applique at the left shoulder. Her little off-the-race heart- shaped hat was of powder blue, with navy trimming and veil and her acces- sories were in navy. A corsage of red and white roses completed her costume Acting as best man was Mr. Elwood Farrell. Following the wedding, a buffet lunch was served at the bride's parental home, 34 Bannerman avenue where the bride‘s mother. Mrs. Danis, received the guests. wearing for the occasion, a gray suit. with beige and black accessories, and a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Omiccioli, the groom’s mother. assisted, and she chose a dusky pink jersey afternoon dress. with beige accessories. and a cor- sage of yellow roses. Later in the evening, around 6 pm. a wedding dinner was served at the parental home of the bride, for the families. relatives and close friends of the couple. In the evening a reception was hit! at the home of Mr. and Ms. De] Guidice, there being about 50 guests present. The couple are taking up residence at the groom’s parental home, Kimber- ley avenue. The bride’s was a white groom's gift, to hairbrush. Prior to the wedding, the bride was entertain-9d at 21 miscellaneous shower, by Miss Gilberto Lariviere. Goldfields Has First of Improved New Film Screen Out-of-town. guests were Mr. and Mrs H. Brunette of Coehrane. The Goldï¬elds theatre has a new type of plastic screenâ€"the first theatre to put in this improvement. With this screen the picture can be viewed from any angle or from any distance and the figures will not: be distorted or blurred. With the old form of screen there were a few spots in the theatre where the pictures could not be viewed as clearly and as accurately as desired. The new plastic screen does away with this diffi- culty and leaves the picture as perfect as science can make it, no matter what angle the view takes.
