Fireside Club Holds Programme Meeting With Special Guests Christmas Featured The Christmas programme imn@eting of the Fireside Club was held in the United Church bas>ment on Monda; evening, December 15th, with the preâ€" sident, Mrs. G. F. Mitchell, in the chair The meeting opened with the singing of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." Under the direction of Miss Margaret Cameron, Miss Reta Jean Harnden, Nancy Fleming, Pat Beattie, Helen Volensky. Marion Knott, and Donna Cunningham accompanied by Miss Ruth Musitard at the piano, sang very sweetly the selections "The First Noel," The regular weekly whist drive by the Ladies‘ Auxiliary of the Canadian Legion was postponed this week due to a St. John Amâ€" bulance event on ‘the same evenâ€" ing . . . but it will be held as usual on December 23rd, Tuesday of next week . . . on Monday evening, the members were the guests of Mrs. Robt. Hardy, 6 Transmission Line for the regular knitting bee, and plans were made to meet again on December 29th at the home of Mrs. H.
