Recommendations For the protection of life and proâ€" perty and to keep up the efficiency of the department, I would recommend that a substation be built in the southâ€" western section of the town, and if this cannot be accomplished this time, that another piese of motor apparatus be added to the equipment and the appointment of four additional men to the department on the permanent staff to handle this equipment. I imight mention that the present equipment and stafif is inadequate to cover the territory now in existence owing to the town limits being inâ€" creased to more than double its size with the new annexations recently made. Therefore, additional apparaâ€" tus and men are very badly needed to give the citizens of Timmins the fire protection they expect. 1 strongly urge you to give the above recommendation your iinmediate attention. In conclusion I wish to thank his worship the mayor and chairman of comimittee and all the members of the council for the interest they have manifested in the welfare of the deâ€" partment, to the officers and members of the fire department for the assistâ€" ance they have at all times so cheerâ€" fully rendered by the faithful and effiâ€" cient manner in which they performed their duties. I also wish to thank the various heads of departments for their assistance and coâ€"operation at all times, also the press for the many kind comments with respect to the work and efficiency of our department.
