The Schumacher public school held their annual Christmas concert on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in the Croatian hall, the event on each evening drawing a large and wellâ€" pleased audience. At the intermission the primary grade put on a maypole dance and sang, "Will You Dance With Me?" This took the house by storm. The boys‘ class were equally popular in their demonstration of physical training. The musical proâ€" gramme was directed by Miss Lang. The pianists for the evening were Miss G. Bristow and Miss MacDonald. Mr. P. A. Boyce, principal of the school acted as chairman. Again Mr. F. W. Schumacher, of Cclumbus, Ohio, has shown his generâ€" osity and kindness by sending a big shipment of Christmas gifts for the school children. Sthumacher have been remembered in this way for many years by Mr. Schumacher, in whose honor the town is named. These gifts will be on display in the school on Tuesday, Dec. 21st, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. All are invited to attend, see the gifts, and hear the carol singing.
