O@n Sunday Oscar Robertâ€" on again asssumed lifeguard duties at the river, and now there is under construction an upâ€"toâ€"date lifeâ€"saving station at the same spot. The buildâ€" ing, made possible through the generâ€" csity of M. McChesney, who donated the lumber, will house efficient lifeâ€" saving equipment including life belt, blankets and dragging outfit, as well as a good first aid kit. Built on wooden blocks in such a manner that it may be moved to the proposed new park site, the lifeâ€"saving station is a valuable addition to the present equipment and will still furâ€" ther ensure the safety of those bathing in that part of the river. Thus far this year Mr. Robertson has not been called upon to exercise his skill in the water so far as rescuing is concerned, but he has had a busy time watching the many bathers, givâ€" ing swimming instruction where needâ€" ed, and timely advice to those not faâ€" miliar with the depth of the water. In addition to these services Mr. Robertâ€" son has rendered first aid to several people suffering cuts and other slight injuries which seem inevitable at any public recreational centre. New York Life:â€"He kissed her and she screamed at the bottom of her voice. Lifeguard Robertson, in speaking to an Advance reporter, stressed the value of the lifeâ€"saving station to all those frequenting the beach. It is his hope that no thoughtless person will in any way interfere with or damage the building or contents. Already some youngsters have shown an inclination to ‘make sport of the building before it is completed. A little consideration in this respect is all that is asked. As a final safety suggestion the lifeâ€" guard requests that people refrain at this time from bringing their dogs to the beach. These are bad days for dogs to be at large anywhere, according to Mr. Robertson, who is inspector for the Timmins branch of the Humane society, and the presence of a large number of women and children at the beach on hot days makes it imperative that all dogs be kept under control. His Worâ€" ship added that if he was forced to continue, he would not try the case but would send it on to a jury. Delaceo‘s bond was set at $1000 .cash or $2000 property. At first, Magistrate Atkinson decided not to permit him bond, but gave the option after a plea by counsel. Bail for Lecuyer was $500 cash. : Highlight of the trial came after J. R.
