The Silver Jubilee Cancer Fund, under royal favour, is to combat the evil of cancer, to commemâ€" orate the 25th anniversary of His Majesty‘s accession to the throne. The fund will give asâ€" sistance anywhere in Canada to battle the cancer secourge which is at present the cause of more deaths and more suffering than any other disease. The fund is for Canadian research and acâ€" tion, and all the proceeds will be spent in the Dominion. The Canadian Legion and other patriotic bodies here are sponâ€" soring a Tag Day on May 4th and 6th to provide the Poreuâ€" pine‘s contribution . to. this worthy cause. Those whose names appear on this page are by their example of early conâ€" tribution to the fund urging others to donate to the cause.
