Remember the Living Give cut your pretty flowers now To those you call your friends, While they can smell the perfume, Not when this life‘s at end. Speak kindly while they see, Don‘t wait until the heart is still And life has ceased to be. How often harsh and bitter words To those we love the best Have caused the burning tears to start Whenâ€" they «are Jlaidâ€" to â€"rest.â€" Much better show the loving smile To those you know are true Than many tears when they are dead Anqdq cannot look at you. Far ‘better give a little flower, If just one blossom red, Than put sprays on the coffin When they are lying dead. Behind the sterling pitching of Steâ€" vens the Hollinger had no trouble in handing the Timmins team their worst defeat to date. Only four Timmins men reaehed first base in the entire game and only one got as far as secâ€" ond. Stevens was coasting along for a noâ€"hit game until the sixth inning, when Soulliere, the Timmins chucker, placed a beauty just behind second base. It was the first hit for the Timâ€" mins team and it proved to be the last one. Stevens was credited with nine strikeouts while Soulliere collectâ€" ed only four. Donovan and Coleman were the best hitters with three hits each in four trips. Pollard was the goat with three strikeouts in three attempts. do, rf; Dillon, cf; Perry, c; L. One of the features of the Cochrane District Fireman‘s programme at Timâ€" mins on Monday at the annual tourâ€" nament was a Porcupine District Baseâ€" ball League schedule game. The opâ€" posing teams were the Hollinger and Timmins. The score, 9 to 0, tells its own story. The Hollinger played a nice game and the crowd enjoyed the match, although it was a little oneâ€" sided.
