Basic Rate Cited "‘The amount of work required from a person getting relief will be estimatâ€" ed at 20 cents per hour per man, and at 40 cents per hour where a man getâ€" ting relief has team, and such team, as well as the man, is working. In other words, if a man gets relief to the extent of $20, he can be called upon to do 100 hours of work, and where a man has a team, which is also working, he and the team can be called upon to do 50 hours of work. "The district engineers of the Northâ€" ern Development Branch will designate and lay out the roadwork which is to be done, and the relief officer Or inâ€" spector for the district will coâ€"operate with the district engineer in his district. Examination Being Made of the Grimâ€" stonâ€"Porcupine Syndicate Claims by McIntyre. Work at Other Properties in Lightning River Area. The Ontarioâ€"Cryderman claims have already been well prosâ€" pected, with a vein eight feet wide traced for a total length of 1,800 feet with channel sampling giving evidence of an ore shoot in 500 feet of this disâ€" tance. Arrangements have been comâ€" pleted, it is announced for financing a summer‘s programme of work up to $20,000, with Russ Cryderman, veteran Lightnirig River prospector in charge. T. H. Mrs. Albina Landry, of Cobalt, was sentenced recently to two months in jail for breach of the liquor laws, but is appealing the sentence.
