Feldman‘s truck was on fire, but it was extinguished by the use of the chemical tanks; at 9.40 p.m. there was a telephone call to 83 Third avenue, but it was only a chimney fire and soon was put out, Up to the time of writing 137 childâ€" ren in Timmins have been protected for life against diphtheria by the toxoid treatment given at the Clinic room here by local medical men. During the month of October and up to the present time this protection against diphtheria was available at the Clinic each Thursâ€" day between 3.30 and 4 pm. The treatâ€" ment was available this afternoon, but next Thursday, Nov. 24th, will be the last opportunity for children !to be treated at the Clinic for the present. Dr. H. H. Moore, Medical Health Offiâ€" cer, has taken keen interest in ‘the work of protecting the chidren against diphtheria, and through his efforts and the support accorded him by the cther medical men, nurses and others in the town, a particularly large number of children of school age and preâ€"school age have been protected for life against the danger of diphtheria.
