They reéeturned on Monâ€" day, the flight back occupying only two hours and ten minutes, Harry Vetrner is in the hospital this week suffering from a form of ptoâ€" maine poisoning, but his friends hope for a spzedy recovery. Mrs. H. Libby and Mrs. Michaelson of the Dome, are both quite ill. Mrs Libby is at the home of her sister, Mrs Beard. s The Dome Pootball Club have won the first round inâ€"the race for the Fosâ€" ter Cup by defeating Mclintyre team in Timmins on Tuesday, winning the round by the close score of 2â€"1. They will play Lake Shore team of Kirkland Lake on Saturday. These two teams are so evenly matched and are giving fans what is considered the best brand of football seen here in years, so the league game to be played at the Dome grounds on Thursday evening will be largely atâ€" tended. Dome is leading by a narrow margin in the contest for the league shield but they won‘t be after Thursâ€" day if the McIntyre can change the balances, Come and root for your home team. On Tuesday next the Dome play Timâ€" mins at Timmins. Then on Saturday, August 13th, Lake Shore come to Dome for the Foster Cup finals. Six grandsons, Clifford and Chriistie Schmelze, George Kaufâ€" man, Wilmer Fera, Gordon and Arnold Hardy, of Kirkland Lake, acted as pallâ€" bearers.
