Good Work by Firemen at Commercial Avenue Fire The good work of the Timmins Fire Dept. saved a serious fire at 53 Comâ€" mercial avenue on Tuesday evening at 6.15 pm. The blaze was going merrily when the firemen reached the scene but their efféctive work soon put the fire out of the running. The call came in from Box 52, and the usual quick response by the brigade helped. The fire was at the rear of a grocery store sonducted by J. B. Charette. It apâ€" ears that there had been a fire in ‘he yard behind to burn up some rubâ€" ish and this fire caught the back of he store. Though the firemen made short work of the blaze it was not beâ€" fore a couple of hundred dollars‘ damâ€" age had been done. The building is owned by S. Cohen.
