WPP‘ More questions and answe INQUEST TO BE HELD INTO DEATH OFP ELOTI MELOCHE An inquest is to be held into the death of Eloi Mcloche who was one of the two killed in the shooting affray at Kirkland Lake some weeks ago. As noted in The Advance two weeks ago. there was question raised as to whether. Meloche shot himself after shooling his common law wife. The opinion after the tragedy first came to light seemed to be that Meloche shot the woman and then turned the gun on himself. The fact that there were fow signs of powder burns on Meloche and the number of shots supposed to be fired, together with those that could be acâ€" counted for, raised some question as to the possibility that the shot that killed Meloche might have come from another gun than his own. As soon as this question was raised the police made very tlworough investigation in the matâ€" ter to remove all doubts and lay the truth bare. To satisfy the public mind n the matter an inquest is to be held into the death of Meloche., The preâ€" vious inquest covered the death of Meloche‘s common law wife, iIn conâ€" necltion with the question The Northâ€" ein News of Kirkland Lake says:â€""Inâ€" vestigation to clear away any doub:} that Eloi Meloche came to his death on <Dominion Day, by any other hand but his own, are being carried on by the !pclice authorities.
