Those who attended the commisâ€" slon session were: George W. Lee, chairman; Lt.â€"Col. L. T. Martin, Otâ€" tawa, viceâ€"chairman; Col. J. L. Mcâ€" Laren, Hamilton, commissioner; W. H. S. Noble, who was assistâ€" ant to the general manager during Mr. Black‘s tenure of that office. Mr. Noble, who is mayor of Kapuskasing, was formerly a valued resident of Timâ€" mins where he was manager of the Northern Canada Power Co. here. During his residence in Timmins Mr. Noble served on town council and also held other places of public confidence and trust. Mr. Noble‘s many friends and admirers are no less pleased beâ€" cause they are not surprised that his outstanding talent has won him the remarkable advancement that has been his lot in his long and faithful service in the North.
