Dorfman, for some years mill superintendent at the McIntyre, and popular through the North, and who has recently been resident at Toronto, was a visitor to the camp this week and was warmly grested by old friends here. It was estimated that there were 500 cars on the road between Timmins and Porquis Junction on Sunday last. The traffic was so heavy as a matter of fact that while the road was good in the morning, by night it was considerably cut up. The cadets at the Central public school are preplaring for the annual inspection and parade on June 4th, Deputy Band Leader P. Cherry arrangâ€" ing to provide the boys with a drum and bugle band for the parade work. Don‘t forget the big novelty dance on May 19th, in the McIntyre Recreaâ€" tion hall, Schumacher under the ausâ€" pices of the Strollers Club. Events by the Strollers are always pleasant and this ons will be particularly enjoyable. May 10th was the date that the first straw hat made its appearance on the streets of Timmins. Shoppers and others noticed a rather stout gentleman sporting a straw headâ€"covering on Satâ€" urday morning.
