Thursday, March 13th, 1930 MOWAT AND MACGILLIVRAY *. _ FIRM MAKE ASSIGNMENT Mowat and« MacGillivray, Standard Stock and Mining Exchange brokers, on Wednesday of last week went into bankruptcy upon the petition of a creâ€" ditor before the provincial registrar in bankruntcy, and E. R. C. Clarkson was appointed custodian. There are 20 branches of the firm in Eastern Canada, although the firm has no branches in Toronto or Monâ€" treal. Most of the branches are in the Maritime Provinces and the Ottawas Valley. Mr.‘ Clarkson has stated that it is hoped the business will be liquidated so that the assets may be conserved as much as possible.
