A feature of the evening will be the drawing for the fancy table cloth. There is understood to be a chance that the Ontario Woman Lake Gold Company may buy the plant on the Clearwater Lake property of the Bobjo Mines. Such a plan is said to be unâ€" der consideration at present. The withdrawal of the Bobjo from its Clearwater Lake property has not lessâ€" ened the belief of other properties in the area in their holdings. Many of them have had excellent results from the work done and the geology and other indications are of the most favâ€" ourable kind. Diamond drilling equipâ€" ment is reported as transported to the Medicine Rock property of the Ontario Woman Lake Gold Company. Drillâ€" ing previously done gave encouraging results. It is hoped that the present diamond drilling and other exploration work will provide sufficient information to warrant installing a mining plant. It is in connection with these plans that the purchase of the Bobjo equipment is being considered. Satisfactory progress is being made| Totals . at the Blacksmith Rapids coal fields,! This coal is to be used for testâ€" ing purposes. As shipped, it is underâ€" stood to have been wet, there being water in the shaft. This water comes from seepage, and it is interesting to no‘e that the water is quite salt. In view of the fact that Blacksmith Raâ€" pids is some 45 miles from the nearest point on Hudson Bay the presence of salt water is of special interest. . The presence of salt in the water is conâ€" sidered as a very favourable sign, espeâ€" cially in regard to the probable findâ€" ing of oil, as the same condition is said to prevail in Alberta in the oil fields there. John E.
