The final step is the exchange of stock, and regarding this the United Mineral Lands Lorpordtlon has issued a letter to the shareholders, which reads, in part, as follows:â€"‘‘Under the terms of the merger, shareholders of ‘Premier Paymaster Mines Comâ€" pany are entitled to receive one and oneâ€"half (1%) shares of United Minâ€" eral Lands Corporation stock, No. 6 assessment paid, for each share of Premier Paymaster Mines Company stock, No. 13 assessment paid. _ To d(‘lllldt(‘ the exchange, arrangements have been made w herebv the Liberty Trust Company of Boston, Mass., who are the transfer agents for United Mineral Lands Corporation, will, upon receipt of your certificates of Premier Paymaster Mines Company, No. 13 assessment paid, properly endorsed in blank with your name written on the back of the certificate on the lower right hand line exactly as your name appears on the face of the certificate and witnessed, issue ‘United Mineral Lands (‘orporatlon stock as above stated.‘‘ Notwithstanding the terms of the consolidation have been clearly set forth, it appears that some Minâ€" eral Lands stockholders are under the impression that they will be compelled to surrender a portion of their stock in order to enable their company to pay the 50 per cent. stock bonus to Lorain, O comes of the viere (0, IvG@AaLl (£0, â€" iJATiULL Horne 75. J. McCool Missing Since Dec. 10th. Son of Late Chas. McCool, M.P. for Nipissing In Eastern Ontario there is great puzzlement and interest at present in the mysterious disappearance of A. J. MceCool, of Pembroke, postmaster a that .place. He left Pembroke on Dec. 10th, saying that he was going to Ottawa on business. The tulluw ing day he wired his wife that he would not be home for a day. Since then no trace or track of him has been found, though diligent search has been made. When the Christmas rush started in the Pembroke post offtice his wife became anxious, and general enquiries were made. It was found that he had not registered at any of the Ottawa hotels and no track of him can be found in that city. Thinking that he might have gone on to Monâ€" treal that city was also searched but without any encouraging results. He appears to have slmpl\ dropped out of sight. Last week the report of his disappearance was sent to the post office authorities at Ottawa. Mr. Mceâ€" Cool has been suspended as postmasâ€" ter, and Mr. Wm. Buttars has been appointed as acting postmaster. _ It is reported that all the affairs of the missing man are in correet condition, and that no clue to his disappearance is furnished by his financial standing. In Pembroke belief persists that the missing postmaster, in a mental aberâ€" ‘ation, headed for Montreal. The Montreal police have been given an excellent deseription of Mr. MeCool and have been sent his picture so that they may nml\v a thorough search for him. Mrs. MeCool is hodrt broken at the blow w hwh has struck her family and is on the verge of a nervous breakâ€"down. â€" When last seen, Mr. Meâ€" Cool was wearing a grey fedora hat, dark overcoat and grey tweed busiâ€" ness suit. at ~Dalton‘s Park on Thursday of next week, Jan. 5th. The members of the club and their friends are asked to meet at the Rex Parlours at 745 and proceed to the eclub house. It is intended to hold a bean supper at the new club house on the oceasion. Not only members of the elub but all inâ€" terested in skiâ€"ing are invited to the formal opening of the elub house. Great interest has been shown this season in skiâ€"ing and it is expected that with the new club house to proâ€" vide needed accommodation the interâ€" est will be still further increased and extended. PEMBRONE PDGTMASTER MYGTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARS SKI CLUB HOUSE TO BBE OPENED ON JANUARY 5th The disappearance of Mr. MeCool recalls the disappearance of his unâ€" cle, Charlie MeCool, seven years ago. Mr. MeCool started out for his timâ€" ber limits and was nexer‘ seen again. A club bag and axe which he earried at the time were found beside a lake, but there was no sign of Mr. MceCool. Here‘s how they deseribe the material that is used by the variâ€" ous teams: **(Good defence men are plentiful, both of the kind that tickle the steerage fans with bumps to an opponent, dll(l the kind that somehow stop the rush without anyone seemâ€" ingly able to describe the method emâ€" ployed afterwards. _ There are even breger varieties among the forwards strutting their stuff, when one thinks of the long range shooting wizards, the bewildering stick handlers, the shoot and followâ€"in pests, and the artâ€" ists who seem to be able to make the goalie dance, in every situation.
