OUne call was at 3.30 a.m. On a vacant lot at the rear of Mr. C. Roach‘s residâ€" ence, Mountjoy street, someone had had a fire going to burn up some rubâ€" bish. With the high wind blowing, the fire sprang into activity shortly after three in the morning. Mr, Roach noticed the fire from his residâ€" ence and phoned the fire hall. With the wind that was orf Wednesday morning, any kind of a fire outside anywhere was highly dangerous and a direct menace. _ The fremen made a very prompt response to the call and at once put the blaze out. Another call Wednesday morning was sent in by two men on the way to work. 1t was for the residence of Mr. P. W. Curtis, milkman, Mountjoy township.
