Last week Roger Emden, the eightâ€" vyearâ€"old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Emden, of ©©104,"" near Cobalt, was taken to Toronto last week for special treatment at the hospital there In the early part of March, the lad was injured in the arms by a pair of scissors in the hands of Mike Geaâ€" son. According to the stories told in the matter, some boys were annoyâ€" ing (GHeason by throwing snowballs against the side of his house. (Gleaâ€" son ran out and grabbed a lad near his place. This lad happened to be Roger Emden, who had no part in the annoyance of Gleason, according to the stories told. G@leason‘s side of the case is undefstoqd to be that he had not remembered or realized tifat the scissors were in his hands and that any injury to the boy was acciâ€" dental and simply through the lad and the scissors inadvertently coming into contact,. When it was found that the lad was seriously hurt, Gleaâ€" son was called to poltee court to answer to the charge of wounding the boy. The case has been adjourned from week to week to wait the outâ€" come of the boy‘s injuries. At first it appeared as if the boy might not suffer serious harm, but, unfortunâ€" ately, his progress recently has not been good. The ‘doctors some days ago decided that he should be taken to Toronto, as the lad‘s arm was not improving as it should. The boy for the time had practically lost the use of the arm. It is hoped that in Toâ€" ronto the hospital treatment will asâ€" sure a complete and speedy recovery. THE PORCUPINE ADVANCE, TIMMINS, ONTARIO INJURED BOY TAKEN TO TORONTO FOR TREATMENT.
