Visitors are asked o be on hand after 9 p.m.~ BIG FINES FOR BAD LIQUOR AT POLICE COURT THIS WEEK At this week‘s police court seven drunks paid $10 and costs each. A gambling case was remanded to next week. Two men charged with burglary were found to be guilty only of tresâ€" pass and dealt with accordingly. V W A. H. I’aqum was fined $500.00 and costs or six months, and also given one month for having a still. _ The same man was also assessed another $200.00 and costs for illegally having liquor. The evidence went to show that the liquor was greater in quanâ€" tity than quality. K ks «o4 Leslie Burbidge was found guilty of frand and allowed to go on susâ€" pended sentence.. He is to make resâ€" titution, and pay the costs of the action. He obtained money from reâ€" latives of a friend of his by misreâ€" presenting the position of the friend. The relatives in question lived in the Old Country and the trick was disâ€" covered after the friends separated and the younger man got in direct touch with his people in the Old Country. PRETTY CHURCH WEDDING AT TIMMINS ON MARCH i9 The United Chureh, Fourth avenue, Timmins, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, March 19th, when Miss Nellie Endly, of Sudbury, was united in marriage to Mr. Len Towers, wellâ€"known jeweler of Timâ€" mins. Rev. Mr.â€" Parks, pastor of the church, officiated. _ Spring flowers made an effective showing for the bridal party. Promptly at 8 o‘elock the bride appeared as the organ, played by> Miss Fearn MeCarthy, sounded out the strains of the Bridal Chorus. The bride was dressed in a gown of white crepe de chine, while a bridal veil, crowned with orange blossoms, fell to the hem of the gown. The bridal bouquet was of white earâ€" naions, roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Myrtle Kennedy attended the bride as bridesmaid, wearing a graceâ€" ful gown, of pink crepe de chine, with hat to mat®h. Her flowers were roses and lilies of the valley. Little Miss Lilian Lainsbury acted as flower girl, wearing a gown of maize tafetta, trimmed with blue mbâ€" bons. She carried a_ bouquet of mauve sweet peas. Mr. Cecil Knott acted as best man, while Mr. C. Ray acted as groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lainsbury, where a dainty supâ€" per was set, the table being decorated with roses and carnations. Relatives and numerous friends gathered, and the bride received many beautiful gifts.
