Probably the most important body of financial men to visit Timmins in recent years was the group of about 45 reaching here by special train on Sunday evening and remaining in the camp until 1 p.m. on Monday. _ The party included directors, officers and proininent shareholders of the Canaâ€" dian Bank of Commerce, and a numâ€" ber of the directors and officials of leading Canadian industries and conâ€" cerns. The party visited the Melnâ€" tyre on SNunday evening after their arrival here, and saw ‘a gold brick _poured there. On Monday they visitâ€" _ed the Hollinger and the Dome, going to the latter mine by motor, and enâ€" training at South Poreupine to conâ€" tinue their tour of the North Land. The purpose of the tour was to give the members of the party a fil‘st-ll hand knowledge of this North Land, its possibilities, resoureces and prosâ€" peets. They visited all, the leading centres of the North, and found much of interest every mipute of .their trip.
