It was simply a great day for the local Orâ€" angemen. The main throughfare was gaily decorated and a large archway was temporarily built and a huge banâ€" ner to welcome the visitors. Unforâ€" tunately for the Sunday night parade rain fell heavily, when the local lodge headed by the Pipe Band marched to the Union Church, where the service was conducted by the Rev. Ivan Kenâ€" nedy and the Baker. The weather on Monday was fine but cloudy, and the parade was an exceptionally large one, the different lodges having their banners flying. The speakers were all given a good hearing and many were interested in the newlyâ€"formed pipe band who were specially engaged for the occasion. Great interest was taken in all the events on the programme and there were some close finishes. At night a dance was held in the Melntyre Hall, which was well attended. â€" Mrs. Neary was the lucky lady to win the motor, and J am sure she has the congratuâ€" lations of the local residents in her eood fortune.
