Last week the resignation of De- puty Chief W. McCord was accepted by the Council to-take effect forth.- with. ,Mr. McCord accordingly com- pleted his services on the force last Thursday. His resignation was put in to take ett'eet on May 20th. a month from the date of tendering, and Council allowed his salary to that date, while freeing him from duty iast, week.
