The blaze, which started in the shaft house, spread through the conveyor. An attempt to stop the fire by dynamiting the conveyor was unsuccessful in arresting the flames and the mill was gsutted. The despatches appear to indicate that while the Premier is not desirous of anything like resignation, his hand will be forced by others in his party and he will resign as the easiest way out of all the complication. Premier Dunning of Saskatchewan is said to be the likely choice for the Liberal leadership in the Dominion. The theory is also held that in case of the Premier‘s resignation being given to. the Governorâ€"General, His Excellency will eall upon Hon. Arthur Meighen, RUMORS PERSIST THAT PREMIER KING WILL RESIGN went off, catching Bilodeau and Culâ€" hane without chance to escape. The latter was frightfully mutilated, his head being blown off and his body shattered. Bilodeau was blinded and sustained other injuries, but was conâ€" scious for a time.
