The party visited Sudbury, Coniston, Copper Cliff, (Dbbalt, Kirkland Lake and Timmins, being‘ taken â€" through the nickel, silver and gold mines at these centres, and getting a general view of the country and the mines. For some years past the annual Regatta at the Mattagami River Timâ€" mins, under the auspices of the Timmins Citizens‘ Band, has been one of the big summer amusement events of the district. This year the intention is to make the Regatta even more pleasing in every way than in any past year. All sorts of water sports and novelties will be featured and a happy day is assured for all. The annual Regatta this year will be held on _ Wednesday, July 29th. Watch for further announcements. ‘ There was a Surprise Birthday Stag Party held at the home of Mr. Wm. MceCoy on Friday evening last, a number of oldâ€"timers of the Camp gathering to do honour to the occasâ€" ion and to sincerely extend the wish of ‘‘many happy returns of the day.‘‘* Among those present were:â€"â€" Doc.
