Gauthier went in to piteh for the home team Monteith liked his offerings, gathering three runs in the first innings and eight in the second. He retired at the end of the third and Ted Hennessy pitched gooil ball for the balance of the game, the visitors getting only two more runs. The loss of the first ‘baseman who was not able to ‘be present and the wholesale changing around of the position of the players seemed to put the boys off their usual good game, for wild throws and all kinds of errors in the field marred what should have been the best game of the season.
