IHE PORCUPINE ADVA WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9th., 1922. on a Dascse in the Underworld on Thursday, Aug. 24th, to assist in the work of financing the Band‘s trip to Toronto to take part in the Band Conâ€" test at the National Exhibition this year. The hall, the music, etc., are all being generously donated for the ocâ€" easion, so the receipts will all go to the fund. The tickets have been pricâ€" ed at the nominal charge of $1.00 inâ€" cluding war tax, so everyone should buy one or more tickets. Of course, it will be a pleasant social event, but further it affords opportunity for each and every citizen to express appreciaâ€" tion of the good band now here. Every citizen should buy a ticket, or a bunch of tickets, and give the Band a boost. This week a combined committee from the Band and the Board of Trade is canvassing fhe business men for subâ€" seriptions to raise $600.00 or .":1700.00/ to assist the Band in financing the trip. The Band is putting on the dance as part of its own effort. Those who may be missed by the bigger drive can contribute through buying tickets for the dance. Everybody in Timmins should buy a ticket for tlhuis dance to show that they are right back of the Timmins Citizens Band.
