BIG SALE IN PROGRESS AT 8. BUCOVETSKY‘S STORES The recent work done on the Ayoub and Assad mining claims in Bernhart Township, Kirkland Lake area, has met with very promising resuts. In one pit, three feet deep, the vein is 4 ft wide and gives an assay across this width of $45.00. Samples on the surface before sinking this pit are said to have assayved $4 to $90 over the same width, Another pit, four feet deep, showed a vein 8 foot wide at the bottom. Assays on this vein run from 40 ceents toâ€"$6 in gold per ton, and $4.70 per ton in silver. Trenching done on the claims suggest that the veins averagze from four to eight feet in width.
