There are also exchanges At Pearson‘s Land ing and at Ville Marie, while many farmers through the districts served by the Temiskaming Telephone Comâ€" pany are also supplied with phones through private lines. The district served by the Temiskaming Company will easily include 2000 phones. This further north section will account for another 1000 phones. In addition to the smaller exchanges, there are exâ€" changes like Timmins, South Porâ€" cupine, Cochrane, ete., to be considerâ€" ecd. In Timmins, Moneta and Schuâ€" nacher, all served by the Timmins Ex change there are close to 300 phones. The last telephone directory showed a list of 253 phones in the Timmins Ex ‘hango. More names have been added since then. In addition the list inâ€" cludes private exchanges like the Holâ€" linger Gold Mines and the Melntyreâ€" Poreupine where there are phone conâ€" nections with all the different departâ€" ments of the offices and plants. The South Poreupine exchange has a list of nearly a hundred., Cochrane has a telephone exchange with a number of phones in commission. At present the telephone system in the town of Cochrane is being taken over by the Town.
