- Full Text
A double-ring ceremony in Fifty United Church, Winona at 4 o'clock Saturday, united in marriage Norma Irene Cocks and Edward Kenneth Kellogg. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cocks, of Winona, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kellogg are the parents of the couple. The Rev. Paul H. Christensen officiated.
The reception was at The Pines, Stoney Creek, the couple leaving afterward on a honeymoon trip to Virginia and the Southern United States. They will reside at 630 Chouinard Avenue, Quebec City, on return.
As the bride was given in marriage by her father, she was wearing a gown of silk taffeta made with scoop neckline appliqued in lace, the bouffant skirt falling from a lowered waistline to a train. Caught to her silk taffeta headdress was an illusion veil appliqued with lace. She carried Joanna Hill roses and ivy.
Making up the bridal retinue were Miss Reta Humphreys, in costume of Indian blue silk organza in princess design, the skirt in waltz-length, and Miss Loretta Husack, Stoney Creek, and Mrs. Cameron Cocks, Winona, in lemon yellow. Their pillbox hats with circular veils were matching. Their flowers were Pinocchio roses and sweet peas.
Groomsman and ushers, respectively, were Mr. Kenneth E. Harold, Mrs. Hugh G. Kellogg, brother of the groom, and Mr. Cameron G. Cocks, Winona, the bride's brother. Messrs. Herbert Lawson and Wilfred Reed were organist and soloist.
