The exhibit opens at 7 p.m. Teachers from Oakville Suzuki Orchestra will be performing in the gallery from 7-8:15 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. "We were amazed by the quality of submissions this year," said William Smith, president of the Oakville Camera Club, which is organzing the exhibit. "The exhibit will be in the main gal lery at Queen Elizabeth Park Communi ty Cultural Centre. It is a premier space for displaying art in Oakville and we're happy to show here until Jan. 7, 2 0 1 8 ." Along with the opening night of Cap ture Oakville 2 0 1 7 , awards will be hand ed out for the categories of: Capture Oakville, Capture People and Portraits, Black and W hite, Landscapes, Capture Nature and Wildlife, Capture Canada in Celebration and the youth category (un der 18) Expression. Oakville Camera Club (O CC ) is a registered non-profit organization, with an objective to contribute to the com munity' s quality of life by enhancing enjoyment, appreciation and public pro file of photographic arts. The club pro vides opportunities for photographers of all skill levels to reach their creative potential in a friendly, supportive envi ronment through knowledge sharing among members, expert presentations, workshops, critiques, field trips and competitions.
