The jolly old elf arrived as the finale to this year's 69th annual Santa Claus Parade. This year's theme was A Canadian Christmas Through the Decades to reflect Canada's 150th anniversary. The rain or snow event dealt parade-goers a wet day, but it didn't dampen the fun. Clockwise from top left, St. Nick waves to the crowds and the crowd waves back. Numerous bands, dance schools and floats as well as volunteers and costime-clad characters filled the parade route. A quartet of youngsters rode on the Knights of Columbus float while the Oakville Girls Softball Association Oakville Angels marched in the parade.
