Mr. Wilson dealt with mis‘ sions in the North-west and New Ontario on Sabbath morning last, illustrating his subject with a large map. The League of the Methodist church, Markdale, is to pay their sister society here a visit this Mon. day evening. After a short program refreshments will be served, and a good time is expected. It is now a year since he left here to make his home in the West, and from all reports has not regretted it. She is their eld- est grandchild, and is to figure in a very interesting event the following week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David MacFarlane, with whom she has lived the past six years. Mrs. 'l‘om Blair was taken very suddenly ill lagt Thursday evening. and has not recovered her old vigor or activity yet. Napper, of Uargill, are over on a. visit to the Hunt and Reed families. Sam Edwards sold his farm last; week to Mr. Thos. Greenwood, of Edge Hill, for $1250. Mr. Wm Legéte has gone to Flesh- erton for a time. Wonder what at- traction there is out there for Bill? Miss Maggie Alexander visited Mrs. H. W. Hunt part of last week.
