Lavina. passea‘l suddenly away with heart failure at. the early age of 26 years. Miss Wat- son was born at, Mount Zion and was en exemplary young woman. beloved in her home and in the community. She was; zealous in Christian service and was a doveted member of Mount ROWE? COUNCIL arv Show Valuat- Zion Methodist Church Choir and Sunday school where 'her ‘presence and talents will be missed. The fu- neral took place to Mount Zion cem- etery on Wednesday afternoon and the large attendance in the rain showed the deep sympathy felt fer the bereft family. Many were un- able to gain admission to the church where an impressive service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mr. Duffield and the Jackson Brothers, evangelists. fine of the latter, who preached the sermon, and Miss Kirk, sang touching solos. Many beauti- ful floral tributes were given by the family and sympathizing friends. Besides the parents, five brothers and one sister survive and were at the funeral, viz.. Robert and wife, near Dundalk; Edward and wife, and Arthur and wife, Toronto; and Clar- ence, Dinsmore and Pearl, at home. The deceased and her late husband were among the early settlers in Osprey and were a well-known and very highly res- pected couple. The annual meeting of East Grey Agricultural Society was held in the Town Hall on Saturday afternoon last. with a fairly good attendance. The linencial report was given by the Secretary-Treasurer, which showed that almost 8150,0 had been spent for agricultural purposes and attractions, being the largest annual expenditure in the history of the fair.
