Paralyzed, unable to speak, wasted almost to a skeleton, the anxious parents had nothing to do but patiently wait her death. Dr. Arnold’s Toxin Pills cured this case and restored her to her former state of health. A newspaper re- porter visited Mrs. Ward 581 Dundas St., George Roberts, 82 Armstrong Ave. and several of the neighbors on the same street and fully corrobora- ted every detail of this case. Where Doctors and hospitals fail, be sure to get Dr. Arnolds. Toxin Pills. The Light of the World, or Our 89 ~\ our in Art. a city from the civic hall. Bishop Potter is repeating what Dr. Park- hurst did in New York City years ago. The Bishop appears to have found the City as morally rotten as did the Dr. It is most certainly be- ing charged that political influence is behind this reformation. The Bishop’s motive is being laughed at and the whole movement is being made light of. The mayorality campaign is about- to be opened in "l‘oronto. It seems to us the people take less interest. each year in this fight for a chance to makea little for oneself. The Mayor’s chair is not now filled by the same men as it used to, a fact regretted by some, and one for which others are thankful. Of course after acity becomes the centre of many large and varied interests, the men at its head are practically compelled to do things they may not care to perform. And we are glad of it. We have no faith in efforts to reform The people of Toronto are enjoying mild weather, and in fact it has been a. mild winter. There is some com- plaint on account of it as it. is said to afiect business. This complaint is borne out by large numbers of peo- ple who have been seeking work for months. Should a cold spell come things will brighten up considerably. We were very glad we met Mr. Robt. Fitzsimmons last week. We were also very glad we saw his fam- ily. People who have done so much to keep their business in an atmos- phere that commands the respect it is entitled to are always interesting. While in Toronto he repeated his intentions to retire from the ring and it is generally supposed he will. He looks in perfect condition. We were astonished to notice he drops his “h’s” like an Englishman rec- ently out. We would not mention the execu- tion of young Pierson in Hamilton last Friday did we not wish to dwell one lesson we seem to see in the death of the girl. Their social, moral and secular standing were not much, but the cause of the girl’s death shows that these things are not nec- essary to enable one to retain the cardinal points of a noble character. We respect the memory of that girl. She showed a strength of character, a singleness of purpose in repulsing the advances of her friend, even to the point of personal danger, that convinces us she was a person of more than ordinary personality.
