While the Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate may not be haunted (or is it?!?), there will be many "Haunted Happenings," Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p:m. to 4:30 p.m. at Erchless Estate, 8 Navy St. On Saturday, boys and girls can enjoy the `Creature Feature' with creepy creature crafts and the Little Boxes of Honror at the Old Post Office. Enjoy traditional games with a holiday twist, play "Pin the Ghost on the Haunted House." On Sunday, children are invited to dress up in their halloween costumes and enjoy an early start to their Trick or Treat fun. Sunday activities include spooky games and fish ing for apples; adventurous children can go on a ghost hunt or listen to spooky stories at the Old Post Office. Just about two weeks after returning from Italy and complaining that I could not find many listed white wines from the Marche Region, I find the Belisario Verdicchio di Metalica as a regular list ing. I tasted this wine in Italy when I visited their cellars. Produced around the town of Metalica, my notes indicate that this wine was most certainly one of the bet ter ones of the area. Somewhat fuller in body than those produced along the Adriatic Coast, the wine is clean, fresh and has a good fruity bouquet and body with a delicate aftertaste of almonds. The Belisario Verdicchio di Metalica is a general listing under CSPC 532630 and should be available at most stores by now. The price is $9.45. I highly recommend it as an aperitif and as essential for shellfish and most seafoods as well as pastas in a cream sauce.
