Early Sunday m orning (Oct. 8), som e one approached a w arehouse at 481 North Service Rd., cut the locks off a trailer in the parking lot, hooked the trailer up and drove away. The trailer belonged to Ward 4 Councillor Roger Lapworth who, when he is not attend ing council meetings, works as an audio en gineer. "The worst thing about it is 99 per cent of the stuff I do is pro bono," said Lapworth. "Fortunately, I didn't have any gigs Sunday. I have one Friday and one Saturday so I'm go ing to have to go out and rent som e stuff now and rent a van to get it there." Lapworth said the trailer contained around 15 loudspeakers and $3,000 to $4,000 worth of cables. The trailer itself is described as a black, 6-by-10, U.S. Cargo trailer. Lapworth said there are distinct scratches along both sides of the trailer from a time he attempted to take a shortcut through some trees. No suspect description is available at this time.
