Open House Tuesday, October 17 6:30 to 8 p.m. Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road South Atrium If you are an arborist or own a tree or arboricultural company, you will be required to obtain a licence starting in 2018. Join us at our upcoming open house to learn more. Why do arborists need a license from the town? The annual licensing of certified arborists, arboriculture companies or tree companies will increase accountability of tree removals and maintenance in the Town of Oakville. Landscaping and property maintenance company licences are included in the review to streamline the process between the two business classes. Licensing of arborists will be similar to the licensing of existing private industries such as landscapers, pool contractors, HVAC installers, and fence installers. Annual licensing helps consumers identify qualified, knowledgeable tree care professionals and help protect and enhance the town's urban forest. Can't make our open house?
