At around 9:30 p.m., on that day, a masked man armed with a plastic pellet gun walked into the M & M Variety Store at 443 Kerr St., and demanded cash, police said. A struggle between the robber and the store employee ensued. The suspect ultimately fled on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of money. The store employee was not harmed. A police investigation resulted in an arrest in connection with the robbery as well as several other crimes in the Oakville area on Oct. 2. Dennise Nunes, 41, of Oakville has been charged with robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise with intent, break and enter, theft under $ 5 ,0 0 0 , mischief to property under $5 ,0 0 0 and failing to comply with probation. Nunes is being held in police custody and will appear before a court in Milton.
