Bronte Village Stakeholders Coat Drive is accepting donations of gently-used and clean winter outer wear in all sizes for men, women and children -- until Friday, Oct. 13. The Coat Distribution Event is Saturday, Oct. 14, at St. Dominic' s School, 2405 Rebecca St. Clients of numerous service agencies are invited: including: Fare Share Food Bank, Halton Multicul tural Council, Kerr Street Mission, SAVIS, Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre and local churches. Invitees can attend between 9 a.m. and noon; while the general public is welcome between noon and 3 p.m. A limit of one coat/jacket per person applies. People are encouraged to bring their children to Bronte coat drive needs donations »^»X<E)lSRUJiTiES7?i the Coat Distribution Event so sizing will be appro priate. There are also many women' s and men' s coats and jackets. The coat drive has been in the works since Au gust and involves donors as well as the Oakville Fire Department, Bronte Station. Donations can be dropped off in the front foyer of the Bronte Fire Sta tion at Rebecca Street and Bronte Road. In 2010, a group of local stakeholders/outreach groups from local churches and agencies, including local councillors, gathered to find out how to assist gaps in local services in Bronte community. This is the Bronte Village Stakeholders fifth annu al coat event.
