Police say on July 24, a man disguised as a Fed Ex delivery driver walked into the Hopedale Convenience store at 1515 Rebec ca St. The man approached the entrance to the cash counter during a busy period, police say, and picked up a box full of various packages of cigarettes that were waiting to be put away. The man pretended to scan the box with a delivery scanner and then walked out of the store with the box in hand, according to po lice. Due to the large number of customers pres ent the storeowner was not able to determine what had happened until an hour later. The suspect is described as white, 25-35 years old.
