Christmas tree display continues into the newyear Bronte Creek Provincial Park continues its unique holiday sea son display until Jan. 9th. Local business es and community groups have spon sored and decorat ed over 40 Christmas trees with proceeds going directly to The Children's Wish Foundation. "The tree deco rations look a bit weird, at first," says park staff member Jennifer Gilmour. "The more unusual items are umbrel las, gas masks, cof fee cups, and sparks plugs. People will have to come in and see it for themselves to get the full appreci ation." These decora tions are all in keeping with the festival as organi zations were encouraged to use their business logo or theme when decorating the trees. New to the fes tival is the ginger bread house com munity. Businesses and groups designed and deco rated a gingerbread structure that rep resents their busi ness or organiza tion. The ginger bread entry "The Farms" feature ani mals, hay bails, and a candy fence. All trees and gingerbread houses are displayed in the newly heated W i n t e r Wonderland Dome until Jan. 9th. Visitors are invited to tour this com munity festival of lights and vote for their favourite community tree and gingerbread house. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. Visitors are asked to bring a n o n -p e ris h a b le food item as their admission fee to the Winter Wonderland Dome. Al l Sealy sleep sets are 1/2 price!
