B8 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER iaturoay, uecemoer 23, 1W9 A Childs Christmas FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS The Stothers Favourite Christmas... would be the one we had a year ago. It was Christmas Eve, the time was 10:00 p.m. and the fire was burning and we were warm and cosy, drinking hot chocolate and reading Christmas stories. Once we were done our hot chocolates and home reading Christmas stories, my big sister Amy got an idea. She said "W hy don't we dance to music?" Everybody knows she is a great dancer, so is my little sister. I'm more into hock ey but I'm a good dancer too. So my Dad put on Lou Bega on his speakers. We all started to dance. We danced to two whole C.D.'s. We had so much fun that we lost track of the time. It was 12:30 a.m. Finally my Mom said `Tim e for bed." So we put milk and cookies out and a letter. We went upstairs and Mom and Dad tucked us into bed. After my Mom and Dad went to bed, my little sis ter Samantha came tip-toeing in with two board games and said "Let's play." I said "Go back to sleep" but she said "Please Tyler please." I said "Fine." We had so much fun; it was 5:00 a.m. Then I told her to go to bed but she was too scared so I told her to get her sleeping bag and pillow and I said "Let's sleep on the floor in my room." She said "Okay." When we woke up, we also woke up Mom and Dad and my big sister Amy. We all rushed downstairs and opened up all the presents. My favourite present was a new mongoose bike. It was silver red, and a little bit of black. After we opened presents and got dressed, our cousins came over, so did my Papa. They're from my Mom's side of the family. We had bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, french toast and syrup. After breakfast, we opened more presents and played on the computer. When they left we went to my Grandma's and Pappa's. For dinner we had turkey pasta, com potatoes, soups, and broccoli. We also had butter tarts, brownies, cookies, and ice cream for dessert. Then we opened more presents. After we opened up all the gifts I showed Grandma and Pappa some tricks with my roller blades. Then we went inside to watch T.V. and then we left. It was the most wonderful Christmas ever. CHRISTMAS WISH If I had one Christmas wish... It would be to walk into the future and live my life the way I always wanted it to be. One of the things I always wanted to do is drive a car. If I walked into the future I would be driving a convertible to my grandparents house to celebrate Christmas. It would also be a wish for my par ents because they can do their work instead of having to drive me to the places I need to go. If I walked into the future I could get a job. I could make money so I could buy all the things I always wanted. The stuff my parents won't get for me. Also, if I walked into the future I would see if Santa Claus was real. I do believe he is real but I'm not perfectly sure. This would also be a wish for my sis ter because she believes in Santa Claus but she is not really sure either. I guess I'll just have to wait until I'm older. Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year. Michelle B. ONE CHRISTMAS WISH If I had one Christmas wish... I would wish to meet baby Jesus and wish Jesus a happy birthday. I would also like to meet all the angels up in heaven and Mother Mary. I would like to give them all a Christmas gift, and thank God for the most precious gift I ever got (my life). Tyler S., Grade 4 Victoria N.
