CLAESSENS, Peter Joseph - Peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital, on Monday March 20, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Petronella "Nellie" (nee Van Heuven) (2009). Dear father of Frank Claessens (Elaine) of Woodstock, Joanne Sweazey (Jeff) of Paris, Geraldine Claessens of Tavistock, and Peter Claessens (Sharon) of Guelph. Loving Opa of Laura Rutherford (Al), Lisa Lee (Tim), Becky Van Egmond (Ben), Michelle Cucksey, Jacob Claessens, Trent Claessens and Great Opa of Landon and Bryson Lee. Brother of Matthew Claessens (Martha) of Dublin, ON, Tony Claessens (Marlene) of Waterdown as well as many brothers and sisters in Holland and his sister-in-law in New Zealand. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Thursday March 23, 2017, 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment in spring at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
