Students are selected based on their academic achievement, com munity service and leadership. The Oakville chapter of C FU W was founded in 1949 and is a vol unteer, non-partisan, non-profit, self-funded organization. CFUW-Oakville raises funds for these awards through member do nations and fundraising events. Melissa Vassallo donates the funds for the Access Award that she inspired.
