TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Regional Municipality of Halton passed By-law No. 36-17 on the 14th of June, 2017 under the Development Charges Act, 1997 (the "Act") which establishes water, wastewater, roads and general services development charges for the Regional Municipality of Halton (Built Boundary and Greenfield Areas), and repeals By-law No. 48-12, as amended by By-law No. 3-16 and By-law No. 51-16. This By-law No. 36-17 comes into force on the 1st day of September, 2017. AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal this By-law to the Ontario Municipal Board under section 14 of the Act by filing with the Clerk of The Regional M unicipality of Halton, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6M 3L1 / fax: 905-825-8838 not later than 4:30 p.m. on the 24th day of July, 2017, a written notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the reasons supporting the objection. The complete By-law is available for examination at the Clerk's office 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6M 3L1 during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. It can also be found on the Region's Website: www.halton.ca An explanation of the development charges imposed and a description of the lands to which the By-law applies are set out below. S ch e d u le d " to By-Law No. 36-17 OVERVIEW By-law No. 36-17 establishes updated area specific (Built Boundary/Greenfield) water and wastewater development charges and region-wide roads and general services (being growth studies, police, paramedics, facilities, social housing, waste diversion and waterfront parks) development charges and repeals By-law No. 48-12 as amended by By-law No. 3-16 and By-law No. 51-16. The Built Boundary Urban and Rural Residential Development Charges are shown on Schedule"B-1"of the By-law, the Greenfield Urban and Rural Residential Development Charges are shown on Schedule "B-2" of the By-law, the Built Boundary Urban and Rural Non-Residential Development Charges are shown on Schedule"C-1" of the By-law, and the Greenfield Urban and Rural Non-Residential Development Charges are shown on Schedule "C-2" of the By-law, all of which are attached to this notice. LANDS AFFECTED This By-law applies to all lands in the geographic area of the Regional Municipality of Halton. A key map, being Schedule "A" of the By-law, is attached to this notice. The development of land in the Region may be subject to one or more development charge by-laws of the Region.
