TAKE NOTICE that the Council o f The Regional Municipality of Halton passed By-law No. 38-17 on the 14th o f June, 2017 under the Development Charges Act, 1997 (the "Act") in order to amend By-law No. 159-01, as amended, which establishes the Development Charges related to the Go Transit Services for the Regional Municipality o f Halton (Go Transit DC). This By-law No. 38-17 comes into force on the 1st day o f September, 2017. AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal this By-law to the Ontario Municipal Board under section 14 o f the Act by filing with the Clerk of The Regional M unicipality of Halton, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6M 3L1 /fax: 905-825-8838 not later than 4:30 p.m. on the 24th day of July, 2017 , a written notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the reasons supporting the objection. OVERVIEW By-law 38-17 amends By-law 159-01, as amended, which is the Go Transit Development Charge (DC) for the Regional Municipality o f Halton. By-law 38-17 amends DC policies and related definitions in order to align it with Regional Development Charge By-law No. 36-17. Amendments include policies and definitions relating to redevelopment and to the residential dwelling categories, as shown on Schedule "One" are based on the same cost assumptions used for By-law No. 159-01. LANDS AFFECTED This By-law applies to the lands in the geographic area of the Regional Municipality o f Halton. A key map is not being provided in this notice as the amendments apply equally to all lands. The development o f land in the Region may be subject to one or more development charge by-laws o f the Region.
