It will be presenting 19 feature films and documentaries and more than 25 short films. The selected films represent multiple genres, styles, and tones -- each presenting different perspectives on life and the human condition that connects each of us. World premieres will include To the Mountain (Canadian drama); and The Meaning of Life, which is the Saturday night special event gala. The festival will see the North American premiere of Broke (Australian sports drama). And it will feature Canadian premieres of: A Ghost Story (American drama/fantasy), the Friday night opening gala starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara; Gear (Canadian/ American drama/thriller); Treasure Hound (Canadian family); and The Time of their Lives (British comedy), starring Joan Collins, Pauline Collins, and Franco Nero. Amongst the regional premieres, the festival will see Red Dog, True Blue (Australian family), which is the Saturday afternoon family special event, playing at Film.Ca. In addition to the wide range of films, this year's festival includes exclusive events and opportunities to meet directors, actors and filmmakers from across Canada and North America.
