Ayverie Caster Smith is a Grade 6 student at Emily Carr Public School and a former student of Sunningdale Public School. She is a smart and energetic girl who loves animals, cooking, and dancing. For the past four years she has been a true warrior and has been battling the biggest fight of her life, Medulloblastoma (brain cancer). Ayverie is now fighting for the third time. He appeared to have received bumps and bruises, but his body was secured to prevent back problems be cause of the fall. Six fire trucks and 17 firefighters were on the scene. Halton police Constable David Ellsworth said police responded to what was dubbed a minor workplace incident, investigation of which is now under the mandate of the On tario Ministry of Labour. "Our officers attended initially with EMS and fire, as we always do, with the tiered sys tem for 911 response. HRPS is not involved any further, thus it's not our place to make com m ent or give details," said Ellsworth. Run 4 Lighthouse registration is closed The Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children will host its Run 4 Lighthouse June 3 to support grieving children and their families.
